Business

A business, also known as an enterprise, agency or a firm, is an entity involved in the provision of goods and/or services to consumers. Businesses are prevalent in capitalist economies, where most of them are privately owned and provide goods and services to customers in exchange for other goods, services, or money. Businesses may also be social not-for-profit enterprises or state-owned public enterprises targeted for specific social and economic objectives. A business owned by multiple individuals may be formed as an incorporated company or jointly organised as a partnership. Countries have different laws that may ascribe different rights to the various business entities.

Business can refer to a particular organization or to an entire market sector, e.g. "the music business". Compound forms such as agribusiness represent subsets of the word's broader meaning, which encompasses all activity by suppliers of goods and services. The goal is for sales to be more than expenditures resulting in a profit.

Gamers is an American video game and entertainment software retailer which operates primarily in Iowa and Nebraska. There are 12 corporate stores, 5 in Nebraska and 7 in Iowa. The store's corporate office is in Omaha, Nebraska.There is one franchised store located in Grinnell, Iowa.They are known for selling video games that many other retailers do not carry, as they are purchased used directly from consumers. In June, 2015, the company shut down several of their stores throughout the midwest.

Gamers (TV series)

G@mers is a computer and video games television show, originally produced by and shown on Rapture TV from 1999-2006. As of July 2010, the show has been revived and is now broadcast on Information TV and Showcase TV. The show was presented by Matt Cuttle, a former presenter on Sky One's "Gamezville", and Kate Heavenor, a former children's TV presenter. It is perhaps most famous for launching the career of BBC presenter Jake Humphrey.

1999–2006

G@mers was first broadcast on cable and satellite channel Rapture TV in 1999. Initially, the show (then titled just "Gamers" without the @) was presented by Cuttle and Humphrey. The show was later sold to ITV, coinciding with Rapture's financial problems at the time, and ended when the channel went off-the-air (temporarily) in 2001. At this point Humphrey left. On their third relaunch in 2005, the show was resumed, back on Rapture, with Heavenor replacing Humphrey as presenter.

The show covered console and handheld gaming, PC gaming and retro console systems, with the majority of time devoted to game reviews, which are rated by both presenters.
